Hybrid model is okay, but not always flexible
Pros: They do offer a hybrid work model, which is nice. As a Software Engineer, you get a couple WFH days a week. It helps avoid the daily commute in Ho Chi Minh City traffic.
Cons: But some project teams are super strict about coming in. It's not truly flexible for all roles in this large corporate environment. Sometimes it feels like they push for more onsite time.
Advice to Management: Try to standardize the hybrid policy across all projects. Managers should empower teams more for genuine work-flexibility.

Okay place for IT services, culture is mixed
Pros: The work is steady here, especially for IT services projects. There's a decent focus on upskilling if you ask for it. The hybrid work model is a big plus; it helps with work-life balance in the Hanoi office.
Cons: Company culture feels a bit corporate, not always very open. Getting real career growth for a Software Engineer can be tough. Sometimes decisions feel top-down, and it's hard to get your voice heard.
Advice to Management: Try to foster a more open environment. Listen to what people on the ground, especially those in IT roles, are saying about their day-to-day challenges.

Okay Start for Junior Roles in IT Services
Pros: You do get to work on a variety of projects in the IT services sector, which is great for learning new tech. There are mentorship programs available if you seek them out, which helped me as a Junior Software Engineer.
Cons: Formal career pathing isn't super clear for everyone. It feels like you really have to push hard for promotions, and sometimes senior roles are filled externally. Growth opportunities in the Ho Chi Minh City office felt a bit limited compared to what I expected.
Advice to Management: Focus more on internal talent development and make career paths clearer, especially for early-career IT professionals. Provide more structured promotion opportunities within the Ho Chi Minh City teams.

Pay is just okay for IT services
Pros: The health insurance package is pretty solid here, better than what I've seen at some other places. They also offer some good training resources for software development, which helps with career growth for IT roles. There's a decent annual bonus, though it's not huge.
Cons: The base salary for a Software Engineer isn't the most competitive, especially considering the cost of living in Ho Chi Minh City. Raises aren't very frequent, and they're usually small. It's tough to negotiate a much higher offer, even with experience in digital transformation projects.
Advice to Management: Consider reviewing the salary bands for IT roles, especially for experienced Software Engineers, to stay competitive in the Ho Chi Minh City market.

Work-life balance is okay for an IT consulting firm
Pros: Being a Software Engineer here, I've had some good days where the workload feels manageable. There's a decent hybrid work setup in the Ho Chi Minh City office, which helps with flexibility.
Cons: But it's an IT consulting environment, so project deadlines can hit hard. I often found myself putting in long hours, especially close to client deliverables, which doesn't leave much personal time.
Advice to Management: Try to better manage client expectations and project scope. More support for teams during crunch times could really improve the work-life balance for onsite and hybrid employees.

Leadership is okay, but could be better.
Pros: Some of the project managers here genuinely care about their teams. They're good at protecting us from too much corporate noise. You get decent exposure to various digital transformation projects in the Ho Chi Minh City office, which is a plus for career development.
Cons: Upper management often seems out of touch with day-to-day operations. There's a lack of clear strategic direction sometimes, which can make planning tough for software development teams. Decisions feel top-down and aren't always explained well.
Advice to Management: Try to be more visible and transparent with your teams. Listen to the feedback from senior software engineers on the ground. Clearer communication about the company's direction would really help us all.
