Logistics Coordinator

Work flexibility is okay, but could be better
Pros: I appreciate the consistent schedule. It's usually 9-5, Monday to Friday. For Logistics Coordinator roles, you know what to expect.
Cons: Work flexibility isn't great. The hybrid model is pretty strict, requiring most days in the Atlanta office. Remote work options are almost non-existent for anyone in global logistics operations.
Advice to Management: Consider more flexible work arrangements for operational roles. Trust employees more with their time, especially outside the Atlanta office. It would really help with morale and retention.

Okay Flexibility in Global Forwarding Operations
Pros: I've been an Operations Specialist here for a few years. We get a couple of WFH days a week, which is solid for the logistics industry. It's a nice perk in the Atlanta office, especially avoiding morning traffic.
Cons: Still, it's not a fully remote setup; you're expected in the office most days. Sometimes you can't just shift your hours easily, even for personal appointments. There isn't much flexibility outside of the standard hybrid model.
Advice to Management: Try to offer more flexible core hours or additional remote options for roles where it makes sense. It would really boost morale and retention in the freight forwarding sector.

Okay Flexibility for Global Logistics Roles
Pros: I liked the hybrid model option for some roles, which helped a lot. For a global logistics company, they do try to offer some WFH days. The managers in the Chicago office were pretty understanding when emergencies came up, which is a plus.
Cons: True remote work isn't really an option for most Logistics Coordinator positions. The flexible hours are mostly just coming in a bit early or late, not full control. It's tough sometimes to get approvals for last-minute changes due to staffing for freight forwarding operations.
Advice to Management: Try to offer more flexible start and end times for onsite staff. It would help a lot with commuting and personal appointments. Look into expanding remote options for suitable roles.

Work Flexibility Is Decent, Could Improve
Pros: You can sometimes adjust your start time in the Chicago office if you have an appointment. There's some understanding for occasional personal needs, which is good. We do get a few floating holidays which helps with time off.
Cons: Work from home options are super limited for Freight Forwarder roles, it's mostly onsite. The daily schedule is pretty rigid, which makes work-life balance a bit of a struggle. Don't expect a hybrid setup here for many operational positions.
Advice to Management: Consider offering more hybrid options for roles that can support it, especially for experienced Freight Forwarders in the logistics industry. A bit more trust in employees could boost morale and retention.
